The index is selective by design. It only includes probate records that mention a named estate property or a named overseer, on the basis that wider indices already exist for general probate research.
Estate names take precedence over family names because they are the more stable record across a long period.
The index is updated in long, slow passes rather than in continuous data entry, which suits the pace of the underlying records.
